Our Best Rachael Ray Impression
After a bit of inspiration from "Ratatouille" and Anthony from Paris, we decide to take you "behind the scenes" as we prepare a simple, yet delicious, meal in Laurie's spacious new kitchen.

As we prepare the food, Joanna talks about the CNN/YouTube Democratic Presidential PRIMARY debate and James Blunt's new song, "1973." We also talk about "Ratatouille" and many more random subjects.

The Menu
We used recipes from Laurie's Betty Crocker cookbook, which is a treasure trove of easy-to-prepare and homey dishes. More delightful recipes can be found at the Betty Crocker site.

The menu for our light and summery lunch:
Honey Mustard Chicken
Red Potato Salad
Seven Layer Salad
Peanut Butter Cookies

Give a Little Bit
Laurie highlights Meals-on-Wheels.

Music Credits
"Beautiful Food," by Edan.

I have come to my senses. Since I am trapped inside of an english muffin I have decided there is only one solution. Eat my way out. I happen to have some butter in my pocket and a personal cigar lighter. What I am going to do is toast a small portion of the muffin above my head then butter it and eat it one handful at a time. I'll let you know when I am free. Cheers.

drcrazy, are you ok?! Did you manage to escape? Or have you succumbed to the delightful and buttery goodness that is your prison? Don't give up: You're so close to freedom! *roots for drcrazy*

Cookie Monster, I'm not denying YOU the cookies! I'd never dream of doing such a horrendous thing. I'll make sure to set aside at least a couple dozen for you when we bake them. You know you're always welcome to my cookies!

I know it's not quite the same thing, but you know that websites have tons of cookies, right? Have you ever tried snacking on those? (I wonder what they taste like, as I've never tried them myself.)

Oh no, DrCrazy! You've got to persevere! I'd help you if I could, but there are millions of English muffins in the world, possibly billions, so my chances of finding the one in which you're held captive are minute. I know you're full to the bursting point, but just imagine breathing the free air again.

Once you're out, you can tell me how you were imprisoned in an English muffin. I'm sure it's a tale full of wonder and adventure...er, misadventure, sure to fascinate even the most jaded and cynical among us. Just think of it: You can sell your story to the National Inquirer and make some big bucks!
