Paolo Nutini Live!
We're very happy and excited to say that we'll attend a Paolo Nutini show in Austin, Texas, at Stubb's Barbeque on September 14th. We relate the story of how we almost didn't get tickets to the show. (For news on Paolo's North American tour this fall, click here.)

Having been fans of Paolo for almost a year, we decide that it's about time we devote a show to him and share the story of how we became his fans. We talk about Paolo's musical career, his childhood and family, as well as mention some of the things he has done recently.

Joanna enthuses about and recommends The Hunger Site, which allows you to donate money to help feed the world's hungry by simply clicking on a link.

Random Retro
Joanna introduces this new segment by talking about Historical Sounds in MP3 Format from the Free Information Society. She also laughs about the LifeAlert sound clip from the Entertainment Sounds section of the Free Information Society site, which brought back a flood of amusing memories from her childhood.

What's on Video?
Laurie mentions how glad she was to be able to watch the Goo Goo Doll's "Private Sessions" interview and performances online after missing them on television.

Watch:
Goo Goo Dolls - "First Instruments"

Correction
We correct some erroneous information we gave in Show 46 about the release date of Josh Groban's Christmas album: It will be released in November, not in September, according to Josh.

It's a Boy?
Laurie reveals that The Final Taxi is Joanna's "podcast child" since Random Fandom is listed as one of its influences on the PodcasterTree.
