Apolo on the Long Track
My favorite short track speedskater, Apolo Ohno, recently trained on the long track speedskating ice at the Utah Olympic Oval in Kearns, Utah, which is an unusual event. I mention the upcoming short track World Cup to be held at the Olympic Oval in February 2008. (If you're interested in attending the World Cup, check out this Yahoo! Group for more information: Salt Lake City Short Track Events.)
He's Back!
Borat's new two-in-one book,"Touristic Guidings to Minor Nation of U.S. and A." and "Borat: Touristic Guidings to Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" hit the bookshelves this week. He endorsed "basket ball player, Barak Obamas" for U.S. President at a recent book signing. Sounds good to me! ;)
Thank God for the Internets
I mention the fact that I've had an Internet connection for ten years and marvel at how much I've come to rely on it for doing everyday things.
Turning the Odometer Backward
I wish an early "Happy birthday!" to my mom, Laurie, whose birthday is November 15th and also mention that my 27th birthday is on November 9th.
Music Credits
"Go," by Fishing for Comets
"Autumn Song," by The Manic Street Preachers
