A Hurricane...Oh, Joy!
We had our first hurricane scare of the season here in South Texas when Dolly made landfall last week. Fortunately for us, the storm went ashore quite south of Corpus Christi and only caused it to rain here.

Song of the Week
Thanks to Amazon MP3, I discovered the music of Johnny Flynn earlier this week when a live version of "Leftovers" was offered as a free download (available until August 4). As I liked "Leftovers" so much, I downloaded the entire album, "A Larum," and I'm happy to say I think it's fantastic .

Movies I've not Seen
"The X-Files: I Want to Believe" and "The Dark Night" are included on the ever-growing list of movies I've not had a chance to check out.

Engulfed in Flames
I recommend listening to the audio version of David Sedaris' "When You Are Engulfed in Flames."
