Thanksgiving Thoughts
Although I'm always conscious of the things for which I'm thankful, during this time of the year, my appreciation comes into sharper focus. I'm most thankful for my friends and family, trite as it may sound. I'd be lost without them. (I love you all!)

Bonus song: "Thankful," by Josh Groban

1. One 2. Two 3. Three 4. Four 5. Five
I talk about the enjoyment I receive from reading lists and mention The Happy List, the "My Favorite Things" list and The List Universe.

Josh Groban Fest!
Josh Groban fans are in for a treat, I report, as Josh will make several appearances in the coming week to perform songs from his Christmas album, "Noel":
November 27: "The Oprah Winfrey Show"
November 28: NBC's "Christmas in Rockefeller Center"
November 30: "Good Morning America" on ABC

Moussaka Revisited
My mom, Laurie, joins me to discuss the moussaka we cooked on RF Show 63.

Show 63 - It's All Greek to Me

A First Time for Everything
Join my mom, Laurie, and I as we have a culinary adventure while preparing our version of moussaka.

Various moussaka recipes:
Authentic Greek and Turkish moussaka
Classic Greek Moussaka
Food Network's Moussaka

"Yo, Lord, we greet Thee!"
Not only can Josh Groban sing, he's very funny, I relate as I talk about a scene from his "Making of 'Noel'" DVD. I also report the news that Josh will present live on the American Music Awards November 18th on ABC.

Music News
Three musicians whose music has been featured on Random Fandom have exciting news to share, which I pass along:

Will Deynes, whose song, "Super Wonderful," was played on RF Show 34, is in the CW11 and Pepsi "Battle of the Bands" contest. If you like the song, please vote for him!

Alex Giordani, whose song, "It's Coming Out Love," was played on RF Show 11, is one of the Intel SuperGroup finalists. Voting is over, however, and results from the contest should be released soon.

Eoghan Colgan, whose songs, "Sunny Days" and "That First Time," were played on RF Show 12 and RF Show 35 respectively, will put on a showcase on November 28th in London to show record companies what he and his band sound like live. Everyone is welcome to attend!

Make Some Noise for the Boys!
I give a reminder that Paolo Nutini will appear on the "Austin City Limits" TV show on November 17th, as well as mention his football fandom.

"Football" or "Soccer"?
As usual, we randomly chat about many subjects, including the invention of American football and the invention of basketball. (It was actually invented by a Canadian living in the U.S.!) We also laugh about CNN's venture into the virtual world of Second Life.

"Me Llaman Calle," by Manu Chao (Thanks to IODA PromoNet)

Show 62 - Go Fast, Turn Left

Apolo on the Long Track
My favorite short track speedskater, Apolo Ohno, recently trained on the long track speedskating ice at the Utah Olympic Oval in Kearns, Utah, which is an unusual event. I mention the upcoming short track World Cup to be held at the Olympic Oval in February 2008. (If you're interested in attending the World Cup, check out this Yahoo! Group for more information: Salt Lake City Short Track Events.)

He's Back!
Borat's new two-in-one book,"Touristic Guidings to Minor Nation of U.S. and A." and "Borat: Touristic Guidings to Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" hit the bookshelves this week. He endorsed "basket ball player, Barak Obamas" for U.S. President at a recent book signing. Sounds good to me! ;)

Thank God for the Internets
I mention the fact that I've had an Internet connection for ten years and marvel at how much I've come to rely on it for doing everyday things.

Turning the Odometer Backward
I wish an early "Happy birthday!" to my mom, Laurie, whose birthday is November 15th and also mention that my 27th birthday is on November 9th.

Yay, YouTube!
The story of how Andy McKee came to play guitar on one of my favorite songs from Josh Groban's Christmas album, "Noel," is quite cool, I relate. Watch Josh talk about how he discovered the guitarist. Andy McKee's contribution to the song "Little Drummer Boy" is excellent, I think!

If you're curious about Andy McKee, watch him play "Drifting" here and check out his Wikipedia entry.

It's Basketball Season!
I talk about the first game of the NBA season: The San Antonio Spurs vs the Portland Trailblazers.

Autumn Scents
The smell of fall in the air causes me to randomly mention natural scents that I love.
